Special Teachers


Mrs. Bianca Castellano: Music and Art Teacher Grade K-8

Mrs. Castellano is an alumni of the Saint Ambrose School Family and very happy to be back with her fellow eagles! Through her professional career she studied both the Visual and Performing Arts. After reviving her Bachelors of Arts and Science in Performing Arts, Mrs. Castellano was given the opportunity to join the Disney Company, creating magical moments for guests of all ages and from all walks of life. Now back in South Florida, she is looking forward to the 2015-2016 school year! 

Mr. Sean McKweon: Physical Education and Athletic Director 

Coach McKeown is a graduate of Youngstown State University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. Coach McKeown is also a graduate of Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio where he served as Student Council President, was a Students of Stewardship member, and participated in varsity basketball.

Coach McKeown has 7 years of coaching experience and has most recently completed his first season as Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Boca Raton Community High School. Coach McKeown previously served as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at East Palestine High School near Youngstown, Ohio, for 3 seasons. He was also the Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Youngstown Christian School where the Eagles won an OHSAA Div. IV District Championship and finished as Regional Runner-Up for the 2012-2013 season. 

Coach McKeown founded and operates the South Florida Sonics as a travel basketball program featuring players from Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. In their first year operation they have already finished as SFYBA Slamfest Runner-Up, National Hoop Summit Champion, Captain U College Showcase Champion, and Miami Hoopfest Champion.

Mrs. Maria Menendez: Spanish 

Maria E. Menendez is the Spanish Teacher at St. Ambrose. Mrs. Menendez is originally from Lima, Peru and has taught Spanish for almost 17 years in Lima and most recently in Wichita, Kansas. She has a bachelor degree in Elementary Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.  Mrs. Menendez also completed a graduate program on learning disabilities, through Universidad Andres Bello, Chile.

Mrs. Menendez enjoys traveling, learning about different cultures, reading, and going to the beach. She likes to go to spiritual retreats, and her favorite saint is St. Martin the Porres, the most famous Peruvian saint. She and her husband Jaime have two children, Daniela, 10 and Martin, 8 years old, and two cats, Lucy and Chess.

She feels blessed to be part of St. Ambrose and hopes that her students will enjoy learning Spanish and learn about different Spanish speaking countries.
